My brother and I have had times when we were both using and times when we're both clean. Gratefully, we are both clean today and have been for several years. I rarely lose my gratitude for this, but have to remind myself that I have no control over whether he's clean or not, but I do have control over my own choices. Congrats again. We stood in the kitchen and just talked for almost an hour and a half. I said more to him last night than I have since August. Addictions hurt far more people than just the addict or alcoholic, but in the same manner, recovery is a blessed event for the whole family.
