I actually find it very hard to watch the show intervention. I guess maybe it hits so close to home for me.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great show and it is very eye opening for people who have never dealt with this type of situation...it just gets me down.

Great blog! A lot of people don’t talk about how important your "mental health" is while going through addiction recovery. Getting through recovery is hard enough, and getting into recovery is even harder. Unfortunately, many people over look that and think every addict is always up and ready to jump into a recovery program. This is why the A&E show intervention is so important. It demonstrates how difficult addiction can be and uses a highly qualified team of specialists to address the core issues. The show really does a great job of showing what it takes to get on the road to recovery for some of the most difficult addictions and how it affects everyone involved. Check out http://www.aetv.com/intervention for more on the show. Im working to support the show because I think that more people need to be informed about addiction and recovery. A new episode airs every Monday at 9:00 PM
