After 7 years of being clean and sober I have a routine for handling stress that really works for me. I go for walk and look at my environment. I don't mean walking around the block with my attention stuck on all my worries etc. I walk and make myself look at the world, plants, animals, people architecture, whatever. I get my attention out and after a few minutes I always feel a little calmer and ready to go at life once again.

Anyway, thanks for writing it, in my recovery of 4months clean!yea, I feel the same, asfar as feeling "displaced" I guess, and I just wanted to say thanks! You always help me, as far as knowing Iam not going crazy., or becoming complacent. Susie
